I earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, then went on to work for a boutique kitchen-appliance maker as a product manager, where I coordinated design, testing and customer feedback for high-end dinnerware and cookware.
Living and working amid chefs, restaurateurs and everyday home cooks gave me a front-row seat to how equipment really performs under real use. Over time I became fascinated not just with professional gear, but with the everyday tech, tools and home-goods that ordinary people rely on.
Why Lokena
The name Lokena had long been associated with a small design-focused cookware line, and while the domain changed hands, I liked the idea of carrying forward a spirit of thoughtful product-choice into something broader. So in early 2025 I relaunched the site into what it is now: a place where I review everything from kitchen gadgets to home-comfort tech, occasionally exploring outdoor gear or lifestyle tools too. My aim: to bring the same rigorous, hands-on mindset I learned in the kitchen-equipment world into every category I tackle.
How I Work
